Even though the iPhone 14 does not bring much innovation, it still sold like hotcakes for the past year – even up until today. With that in mind, will there be many changes to the upcoming iPhone 15?

Let’s dive into the iPhone then, shall we?

  • Dual-sim and 5G
  • September 2023 release date
  • 799 USD for 128GB internal storage, 899 USD for 256GB internal storage, and 1,099 USD for 512GB internal storage price tag

As you can see from the comparison between the two, there’s hardly anything that catches the attention on the iPhone 15. You will still be greeted with the smallish 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED screen, but now with a much higher brightness level.

Then there’s also the Dolby Vision for you to feast on your eyes, provided the source has support for it.

The Dynamic Island stays on top of it all, so you are always in the know of everything. You can control your music, see who’s calling, check your flight status and so much more.

The innovative new design features back glass that has color infused throughout the material. A custom dual ion-exchange process for the glass, and an aerospace-grade aluminium enclosure, help make the iPhone 15 incredibly durable.

Not forgetting the IP68 certification which makes it dust and water-resistant.

Under the hood of the iPhone 15 will have a slight bump, now coming in with an A16 Bionic chipset, paired with a speedy hexa-core processor, 5-core graphics and 6GB RAM.

As we all know, Apple’s hardware might not be its strength – but it still runs smoothly thanks to the software optimization.

This is where the latest iOS 17 play an important role to it, as it is now even more personal and intuitive with new capabilities. There’s also a new app called Journal, that helps iPhone users reflect and practice gratitude through journaling; improvements to autocorrect and Dictation; greater protection for Private Browsing in Safari; password and passkey sharing with iCloud Keychain; pet recognition in Photos; and much more.

Camera-wise, the iPhone 15 will be sporting a 48MP+12MP dual primary camera. It is said to be one of the best in its class.

It will also have a 12MP selfie camera to cater to all your selfie needs.

In terms of storage, there are three options available depending on your budget. Whether you choose 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB, do keep in mind that there’s no expansion slot available.

So just go with the highest amount of space that your money lets you.

Moving on to the battery side of things, the iPhone 15 seems to carry from last year’s offerings. It provides up to 20 hours of video playback, so it can easily last you for a good day or two.

According to them, it will only take 30 minutes to get it up to 50% of charge, so you would be up and running in no time at all. Talking about charging, there won’t be a lightning cable, as all iPhones now come with USB-C connectivity.

Finally, there’s the dual-sim and 5G to make the package complete.

Conclusion:

Apple iPhone 15 once again does not really light the world on fire – especially for those who already have its predecessor. But for those who may have skipped several generations, perhaps the time is now for you to consider an upgrade.

14 does not bring much to the table for this year. For those with an iPhone 13, you can hold off on the upgrade for now.

Apple iPhone 15’s pre-order will open very soon and is set to be released by the end of September. It will be available for 799 USD for the 128GB internal storage variant, 899 USD for the 256GB internal storage variant, and 1,099 USD for the 512GB internal storage variant.

There will be five colors to choose from, namely Black, Blue, Green, Yellow, and Pink.
