With that in mind, let’s now turn our attention to the Motorola Edge 40 Neo which had just been released a week ago:

  • 6.55-inch Full HD+ P-OLED with 1080 x 2400 pixels, 20:9 ratio or ~402 ppi density

  • 300 Euro or ~350 USD price tag for the 256GB internal storage + 12GB RAM

A quick glance at the Edge 40 Neo’s specs, and you can see that it offers very good value, at a very affordable price. It comes with a 6.55-inch P-OLED display which is like its predecessor. There’s also an insanely high 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ technology and very high 1300 nits brightness is a feast to the eyes. In terms of protection, the IP68 certification and Gorilla Glass ensure that it is well protected against the elements. It is built to go wherever you may roam.

Under the hood of the Edge 40 Neo is a mid-ranger with its Dimensity 7030 chipset, fast octa-core processor, good graphics and either 8GB or 12GB of memory. This combination will make light work of all apps and games that are out there, as it won’t have any trouble running it.

The camera aspect is also one of the Edge 40 Neo’s strengths with the 50MP+13MP dual primary camera and 32MP selfie camera. With PDAF and OIS on it, it allows you to take great photos that will make you proud to share it on your social media.

Moving on to the storage side of things, you can choose 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, which is nice. If it was up to me, I would just go with the highest storage available since there won’t be an expansion slot. Heck, most phones don’t have an expansion slot these days.

Battery-wise, the Edge 40 Neo is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery, which won’t have any trouble supplying the necessary juice to power it up for a good day or two in between charging. And when the time comes to plug it in, the 68W fast charger will get it up to 50% in just 15 minutes.

Finally, the latest Android 13 operating system, dual-sim capability and 5G connectivity adds further value to an already value-for-money device.

Conclusion:

Motorola Edge 40 Neo presents a good upgrade for those looking to up their game and be on par with most phones that are out there. Decently size that fits in the palm of your hand, has great looks with even more excellent protection, an amazing camera, and a huge battery makes for an irresistible combination. And the price tag is very attractive as well.

Motorola Edge 40 Neo had just been released last week with a price tag of 300 Euro or ~350 USD price tag for the 256GB internal storage + 12GB RAM variant. There are three unique colors to choose from: Black Beauty, Soothing Sea and Caneel Bay.
